There are many options available for accommodations in Chiang Mai, and you are welcome to stay anywhere.  For your convenience, we suggest the following options:

1.  The Royal Princess Hotel

The Royal Princess Hotel is located in the Chiang Mai Night Bazaar. We have negotiated discounted rates on a block of rooms for the week of the SEALS conference.  In order to take advantage of these rates, please use the reservation form here, not the hotel website.

The form, including payment information, should be returned by email or fax directly to the hotel (see form for details) between April 1 and April 30, 2015.
Please note, cancellations after May 9 cannot be refunded.
Rates:
Superior room 2,000 baht/night/room
Deluxe room 2,400 baht/night/room
Rates include tax and service charges. For additional options, see reservation form.

Download the Royal Princess Hotel reservation form here. You may need to right-click the link and select Save link as.

Transportation from the Royal Princess:

Transportation service from the hotel to the conference in the mornings and from the conference back to the hotel in the evening will be provided from Wednesday May 27 to Friday May 29 in red see-laws (traditional Chiang Mai red taxi-truck).  See the program here for times
If you choose to stay elsewhere in the Night Bazaar area you are welcome to use this service; pickup and drop-off will be at the Royal Princess Hotel.

2.  Paradornparp International House

Website: http://ihouse.payap.ac.th/index.php/guest-room

PIH is located on the campus of Payap University.  Room rates begin at 704 baht/ night.  There is a cafeteria available and a 7-11 convenience store. Transportation within the Payap Campus from PIH to the conference location will be provided from Monday May 25 to Friday May 29 (including pre-conference workshop days); see the program here for times.
Reservations can be made through the PIH website (see link above).

Transportation from the airport:

There are several taxi companies at the Chiang Mai airport, with desks at both the domestic and international arrivals.  Most charge a flat fee depending upon the destination; it should be about 160 baht to the Night Bazaar area or 200 baht to Payap University, including Paradornparp International House.
